Terms of Service

You don’t have to create an account to use Semnote Writer or the ADD.NEW website.

If you do create it, you are responsible for keeping your account secure. This includes protecting your password and controlling access to your account.

You are responsible for all activity that happens under your account, including activity by people you invite or allow to use it.

You must not use the service for illegal purposes or to violate any laws in your jurisdiction.

You must provide accurate information when creating an account, subscribing to a plan, or communicating with us.

Some parts of the service may be free, and others may require payment.

If we offer a free trial, the trial length and conditions will be explained when you sign up. After the trial ends, you may need to choose a paid plan to continue using paid features.

Paid plans are billed in advance on the billing cycle shown at checkout or in your account settings.

You are responsible for keeping your billing information up to date. If payment fails, we may suspend or restrict access to paid features until payment is completed.

You may upgrade, downgrade or cancel your plan according to the options available in your account settings. Downgrading may reduce your access to certain features, limits, storage or functionality.

Unless stated otherwise, fees are non-refundable, except where required by law.

Taxes may be added where applicable.

You are responsible for properly cancelling your subscription or account through the available cancellation process. Sending an email may not be enough to cancel if a self-service cancellation option is available.

If you cancel a paid subscription before the end of the current billing period, your access to paid features will usually continue until the end of that billing period. You will not be charged again after cancellation unless you restart or create a new subscription.

You may delete your account. Deleting your account may permanently remove your data. Some data may remain in backups for a limited time before being deleted.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, misuse the service, create risk for us or other users, or use the service in a harmful or unlawful way.

Abuse, threats, harassment or disrespectful behaviour towards our team, contractors, customers or users may result in immediate account termination.

We may modify, suspend or discontinue any part of the service at any time.

We may change our pricing, plans, features or limits.

If a price change affects existing paying customers, we will make reasonable efforts to notify them in advance.

We are not liable to you or any third party for changes, price updates, suspension or discontinuation of the service.

You are responsible for any content, data, files, text, images, information or material that you upload, submit, publish or otherwise make available through the service.

You retain ownership of your content. By using the service, you give us the rights necessary to host, process, display, transmit and operate your content solely as needed to provide the service.

You must not upload or share content that is illegal, harmful, abusive, infringing, misleading or violates the rights of others.

You may send us feedback, ideas or suggestions. We may use that feedback without restriction or compensation.

The service, including its design, software, branding, text, graphics and other materials, is protected by copyright, trademark and other laws. You must not copy, resell, exploit or falsely imply association with us without permission.

We take reasonable measures to protect your data, including technical and organisational safeguards such as backups, access controls and encryption where appropriate.

You retain ownership of your data. We do not sell your data.

We may process your data as described in our Privacy Policy and any applicable data processing terms.

We may share data with trusted service providers where necessary to operate, maintain, secure and improve the service. These providers may include hosting, payment, email, and infrastructure providers.

You must not use the service to submit highly sensitive information unless we have clearly stated that the service is designed for that purpose. This may include credit card numbers, government identifiers, financial account details, health information, precise real-time location data or other sensitive personal data.

Each party agrees to handle personal data in accordance with applicable laws.

Your use of the service is at your own risk.

The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure or available at all times.

We do not guarantee that the service will meet your specific needs or expectations.

Support may be provided by email, chat or other channels, depending on your plan and our available support options. We provide support on a reasonable-effort basis.

Our authorised team members and service providers may access your account or data when necessary to provide support, maintain the service, investigate issues, prevent abuse, comply with legal obligations or protect the service.

You must not attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse engineer, abuse, scrape, bypass security measures or interfere with the service.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or exemplary damages, including loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill or business opportunities.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us for the service during the 6 months before the claim arose.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so some of these limitations may not apply to you.

These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, unless applicable consumer protection laws require otherwise.

Any disputes will be handled by the courts or dispute resolution process applicable in Ireland, unless the law requires another venue.
